Errr didn't you just repeat what I had typed?
Can you soft kick to 1.3? Is it the 1.4 ROMs? If so you can replace the kickstart file in DEVS for a 3.1 one and boot to that instead of 2.04. I did that before getting real 3.1 ROMs.
For those who have not seen one:

Well I had 1.4 ROMs originally an got some 3.1's. Neither needed a ROM tower. Both worked fine.
Just to clarify this point, it depends on the A3000 mobo revision as to whether a ROM tower is required. Mine didn't need one, I think it was a rev9.1.
Don't get me wrong. I think what they are doing is fantastic, I wish I had 10% of the ability of some of the people on the project.
But unlike some people I like to live off facts and evidence....
Its a shame he says "hope the Dev Boards are less than $500.00 USD but is still not known."
I was hoping it was definate... meaning more progress had been made on sourcing parts, assembly etc... A...

Hopefully production boards will be even less then. Got a link to the post with the price in?
If it ever see's the light of day then I agree... but i'm guessing Santa wont be loading any onto his sleigh this year! Maybe next christmas?
I hope this does come to something close to what is being promised. I've held off buying a Minimig, SAM, Pandora, A4000 etc... in the hope that the next big Amiga thing is just round the corner!
Oh dear! I can see this thread going downhill very quickly! ;)
How sweet is that?! Of course i'd like an A4000 with Cybervision 64, 060 etc etc.... But it ain't happening!
Happy birthday GH! Hope you had a great day!
So of the two boxes listed in the first couple of posts, which is recommended for general Amiga use and can you get them on ebay/online?
