The Giana Sisters have a grandchild.

Remember The Great Giana Sisters, a Super Mario Bros clone made in the eighties? Of course, it was a game that Nintendo didn’t like, and the sisters got pulled off the shelves. Of course, that’s ancient history now, and, in an ironic twist, a legit Giana game was released for the DS in 2009.

Well, they appear to be awaiting the arrival of their grandchild. A legitimate release coming to PC and hopefully XBL and PSN in the near future.

The game looks very nice. Gameplay looks fun and true to platforming tradition, plus the graphics look very nice, with tons of detail and depth to them.

Lets hope they manage to reach their goal amount to complete the project.
