Ooh, 8 out of 10 - only the first and last questions defeated me.
I scored 9/10
I was thrown by the portable PC question as the Compaq Portable PC was the first one of its type and not the IBM Portable. Kind of a trick question in my view.
5..... *dribbles*
*soils self*
:(
I've got 5 out of 10 as well, so you're not alone JT. :) Can't believe I got the Neo-Geo wrong. :(
We just can't get the staff. ;) Surely you are not all getting that old?
Wow, I scored a 10 out of 10! I took the test while my wife was making dinner. She asked what I was doing and I told her I was taking a retro computer test. I told her I made a perfect score. Her reply was "I don't doubt it, as much as junk you have in the spare bedroom!" I think it's time for me to turn off the PC and do something else... :zipped: :owned: :doh2::dighole:
Don't you mean young? If they were old then they'd get all those ancient computers. All the computers were old which is why they only got 5 out of 10 as they don't teach computer history at GCSE level yet. It's only the old fogies that get more than 5 (Guess what score I got);).
@rbelk
An understanding wife will always nag you about the junk in the spare bedroom. An angry wife will make you sleep amongst the junk in the spare bedroom.
I was implying senility was starting to set in! ;)
8/10. I didn't recognise the IBM luggable or the Sega Saturn. Lucky guess with the NEO-GEO!
...6/10. I guess maybe Harrison is right, time to retire and let the youngsters take over. :p
I got 10/10 too but a couple were lucky guesses ie the pdp and the "luggable" laptop ;)
My wife lets me indulge as much as i like in OLD puters or new ones :)
also did another test today non related and got 92% my weak areas where data protection act and copyright law as you may guess i don't give a flying **** about those ;)
Aren't "pirate" and "working for the government" allready one and the same?
You're getting mixed up with "being the government" and "working for the government". "Working for the government" means working long hours with little or no reward. "Being the government" is the exact opposite.;)
I got all the newer ones right, and the older ones wrong.
Even though I've never seen a neo geo in the flesh. Probably not a Saturn either, but i just knew.
Got 9/10, missed the last one with the Apple, which is bearable :)
