James Bond films have always been renowned for their great title theme tunes. But which is your favourites?
A very hard question I know, but everyone has a favourite Bond film, so what about the theme tunes? Which are your favourites? And do you have a favourite overall?
Sorry but not a Bond fan so not a fan of the theme tunes although i do like John Barry's music usually.

Some of them are watchable but enjoy would be too strong a word. I would rather watch Bond films than say Titanic and Pearl Harbour but i would never go out of my way to watching one and i would never buy them on DVD.
Oh well, everyone is different I suppose, and entitled to their own opinion. Even if some people are just plain wrong! ;) :lol:
I love them and have the nice shiny metal boxed DVD collection of the lot. Great films in my view. And listening to my collection of James Bond theme tunes was what gave me the idea to create the poll. :)
I'm looking forward to the next film, Quantum of Solace. Should be great.

I bought the James Bond Theme albums a couple of years ago so have most of the above.
Will have to listen to it tonight, has been a while.
Get the John Barry - The collection. 40 years in Film Music. You have several Bond themes along with Zulu, Ipcress Files, The Persuaders and many more.

I went for We Have All The Time In The World, as it is a beautiful song, used in such a well-done sequence.
Well Harrison, time to disappoint you from my side. I don't know all the themes, but I kinda like the Madonna song Die Another Day.

I quite like that song too, but tended to go for the more traditional Bond songs for my favourites.
You should have posted samples, can't remember most of them.
I love the story of Golden Eye! rouge agent, fantastic...
Die Another Day, with the exception of the invisible car and some serious bending of gene therapy theory, was another fantastic file, with the what happed if he got caught... awesome!
Clearly my favourite classic is Gold Finger, a great symphony with THE CAR, THE BOND its all good..
my final choice was Live and Let Die, the is the ONLY roger moore Bond i can honestly stand. the rest are a tad to damn cheesy....

Such a classic. And Alan Partridge's version just makes me laff every time!

I like most of the tunes from 70's & 80's bond films was i ever happy when i saw it wasn't just one theme tune u could pick :) still havent seen casino royal from what i've seen (clips) etc JB don't seem to have all the gadgets he used to if i am wrong please tell and i'll watch it!
No, Casino Royale is very much back to basics on the gadget front (well, except the defibrillator in the Aston!) It is definitely not a gadget-movie, by any stretch of the imagination, which actually keeps it very close to the novels themselves.
Casino Royale is a slight change of direction for Bond. More of a new beginning than a continuation. Most of the gadgets are gone, but I think it still worked perfectly. Bringing Bond back to being a cold killer dedicated to his profession.
Casino Royale was a great film and you should definitely see it. It's currently showing on Sky Movies... but, I just remembered... you don't have sky do you?

I agree, the new bond is an awesome film.
The only thing wrong with it is the appalling soundtrack. It's the least memorable song in the world. I can't even remember the chorus and I've seen CR about 4 times now.
At least Die Another Day was memorable!
I agree regarding the sound track. Some generic Nickleback sounding rock track, where instead it has always been a well know prominent artist singing the main signature tune in the past.
I dunno, I quite like the CR theme tune (You know my name) - it was used quite effectively in ITV's F1 coverage where even taken away from the film it sounded like a Bond theme rather than a generic piece of indie rock.
However Live & Let Die is my all time fav. while Die Another Day is for me by far the worse.
