What in your opinion the most beautiful car ever?
Doesn't matter engine or performance, just beauty and art.
For me, the most beautiful car ever is the Ferrari 288 GTO from 1984

Difficult to say, there are many. But one of my favorites is:

Any Aston Martin and the E-Type Jag (series i and ii only, type iii had superfluous safety features that was like drawing a moutache on the Mona Lisa).
I agree about Aston Martins. Any of those look amazing and have to be near the top of my list. But I'm not sure what I would place at the very top. I do tend to like quirky cars, especially some of the older French designs, and the Citroen DS has been one of my favourites for years, but if I have to pick just one then for me it is probably the Citroen SM.

You can read all about the car here.
I finally got to see one for real at the Goodwood Festival of Speed a couple of years ago and it looked great. I want to own one of these, and maybe also a DS at some point.
Looking at that ciroen reminded me of the Pink Panther car and so whilst trawling the web for a picture i found this site for various cars from TV history.http://www.jayohrberg.com/6.html
Nothing to do with beutifull cars but it's good nostalgia.
I've always liked the Honda NSX, ever since I first saw it in Gran Turismo. I got the chance to see it in a car show a couple of years ago, and photographs don't really do it justice - it's a beauty in real life.
I wouldn't mind the race-modified Raybrig NSX, advertisements and all!

As you may know, my favourite car is a dodge viper, but in close second, is a 1975 corvette stingray....I saw this car the other day at the lights, so tempted to lean out the car and stroke it http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v617/Submeg/drool.gif

Got to be the E-Type Jaguar, that car is just phenomenal, even today it doesn't look dated.
Merlin
Why is it that American muscle cars never handle very well and deliver a stupidly small power output for the size of their engines?
But I do like some US cars, but not those Submeg mentioned as I think both are horrible. For a decent Dodge I would personally have to choose the Charger. Now that is a cool car and another car I would love to own.
Lol, fair enough, I just think its funny they stuck a truck engine in it lol. Yep the charger is nice
For me, one of my favourite cars is the Porsche 935 (must be in black, with black tinted glass)
If not, a pink S2000 (Suki's in 2Fast2Furious)
There are so many wonderful cars, it's hard to pin it down to just one (so I won't)
The E-type is fantastic, and I really like the Aston Martin DB5 with it's similar old-cool looks. Not sure if I would ever have one though, as I don't think they are really my style - it's more of a rich country gent / cad's car (also I could never afford one!).
The Lamborghini Miura is also an interesting looking car, and I have a real liking for the front end of Ferrari 355s, plus those great old american 50s/60s cars with the big fins at the back.
How big is the rear spoiler on that 935?!!! That looks silly. I've always liked Porsche's though, except for the poor man's Porsche, the Boxster.
It was a race car that had been comandeered to use in the movie Condorman! Lots of porsches, speedboats and other bondyish gadgeteering!!!
Delorean :cool::cool:
Thats one odd looking car :p
General Lee ....
any of you dream with this one in the 80s ....?

I preferred the black Dodge Charger in Bullet over the General Lee.
I love british and european sports cars such as the lotus esprit turbo and the lambourghini diablo but i have a real soft spot for older american muscle cars. The shelby mustang is outclassed by the cobra - supposedly the reason we have a max speed limit in this country!http://www.primequip.net/images/65%2...6ac-cobra3.JPG
Indeed. When the first motorway was opened in the UK it had no speed limit, but then the police caught a Cobra doing a ridiculous speed on it so added the speed restrictions.
Sadly I also read recently that Germany are going to be adding speed limits to their Autobahns soon too. :(
Really? Damn it!
Darn. And here I was enjoying cruising along the 'Bahns at 220+ km/h. Seriously, how do they expect people to get around a large country like that at 100 km/h max? It'd take ages to get anywhere. Plus, is there any statistical proof that a speed limit of 100 km/h leads to less incidents compared to a limit of, say, 160 km/h?
It is the stupid manoeuvres that motorists make, along with a lack of observation or basic car control that cause accidents, not generally speed. People changing lanes without indicating, driving in the middle lane of the motorway without anything in the inside lane. Not knowing which lane to use or when to indicate at a roundabout, how to use a junction etc...
But even worse is how so many people don't seem to know how to drive when the weather is bad. So many people drive in very bad visibility without their fog lights on. They think it is only when there is fog, but this week the rain here has been very bad, combined with very strong winds, and on the motorways the visibility was down to about 2 car lengths so rear fog lights were essential. Some of the drivers didn't even have their normal lights on!
My favorite car is the classic Mini. whats even better is seeing the looks of other car drivers faces when you pass them doing 100mph. wheels were not balanced properly would have gone faster.:)
The classic Mini Cooper S was a great little car. It was the car I wanted before I could drive. Sadly with insurance I ended up with a Metro! hmm.. horrible car that was.
A couple of cars I really like more recently than my last post here have been:
Ferrari California (2010)
http://www.ferrari.com/English/GT_Sp...alifornia.aspx
Attachment 846
Maserati Gran Turismo.
Attachment 845
Amazing looking cars. I got to look around and sit in both at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed and so wished I were a millionaire.
I also ended up with metro for me first car, that was a little freaky was very reliable when i passed me test and for ten days after it died and so did dad.
After seeing those cars did you have to wipe up your Drool after wards:)
Many Thanks
Andrew1971
I had to wipe the drool up all day!.. the number of amazing cars all in one place is amazing. I go nearly every year as it is only 1 mile from home and is such a great event. :) Have you ever been?
Wasn't intending to go last year but was handed free tickets, courtesy of Peugeot, so couldn't turn that down. :)
