Old Skool Hackery Update
Hello there my fellow forum Chummies
I have had the opportunity to update some of the projects on OldSkool and some of these you might find... interesting...
The XDream
A mod chipped modified XBox with a 128MB ram upgrade
Xbox Mod-Chippery
The chipping of the XBox :)
Wii Repair
The arcane resurrection of a D2C Drive mod that had gone bad.
enjoy :)

@Zetro you naughty pimp ;)
check em out guys some serious moddage here :)
-
I've already had a look at the Xbox mods and it was some very nice work indeed. Sadly I've never even used a soldering iron so such projects are far out of my reach. However I know where to go if I ever need one done! ;)
BTW, will Xbox games still run after the 128MB ram mod has been done?
-
Why do forums require you to register just to look at the bloody posts!
That is so fecking annoying!
-
Yeah I agree. Should only need to register to post a reply.
-
@Harrison i've tried and killed several things with a soldering iron so i gave it up as a bad job ;) btw: i do belive games still work maybe not all of em but would be a pretty pointless execise eh ;)
@KG & Zetro perhaps it's time we looked at that one! (Zetro and myself as Admin of said site!) However some areas of the site would still be locked off to non members as is the case here at CA!
-
@KG we are sorting access to more areas of the site without having to be a member
hope that keeps you all happy ;)

OOh I can see it now, cheers!
I like xbox modding info, it makes a good read. :)
I softmodded 2 xboxes last week actually, a lot less messy than those pics ;)
Using the ndure bootdisc of course, no need for memory cards/games etc. :)

I'm interested in soft modding an xbox. What would I need to do in order to softmod one using the ndure bootdisc? Is it as simple as downloading an ISO, burning it, and then running the disc on the Xbox? AFAIK I was going to need something like an Action Replay memory card.
