Safari doesn't appear to suffer the same indignity, certainly not on the i5 & i7 based MAC's I have seen & used recently. :huh2:

You can use Safari on the PC. Horrible browser imo on any os.

How about using Firefox or Opera? Or maybe Lynx?:shades:
I haven't used Safari for years but I never used to like the PC version. The Macintosh version seemed fine though.
I find Opera is great at blocking things like ads. I forget the name of the file it uses, but I have mine filled with loads of unwanted addresses which result in ads being blocked. Its really easy to unblock stuff if necessary, and its also easy to enable/disable plugins and javascript when required as well.
Is an iMac really worth the expense just for internet stuff?

No, it probably isn't but we are on the brink of buying a 64Gb Cellular iPad through Tesco Rewards in the coming weeks.
Todays rant.
My Mother recently bought a DAB radio for the kitchen.
So, as if Hallam FM wasn't bad enough, we now have to listen to The Hits Radio every evening and weekend.

On the subject of commercial radio, this is a really good website, developed by Absolute Radio: http://comparemyradio.com/
I just listen to Radio 2, or stream via Spotify.
I don't listen to it often early in the morning. I tend to like the shows later in the evening when you get to discover lots of new acts.
I hate it when people think WD40 is the answer to everything
