The new PSP 3000 will be released on october 15th for 199€. Besides a better screen with a bigger range of colors, it will have a built-in microphone, which will support the messenger function (Skype). That's what Sony announced on the press conference on the 20.08.2008
Does it mean that the "old" PSP will have lower prices...???
Or will it be like PS2/3 that the price keeps the same (in PT ps2 has the same price for years...)
I guess that the price of the older models will somehow drop, don't know when or how much though.
It depends. Sometimes people want older models over newer ones and this can push the price of older models up. The original phat PSP for example is more sort after than the Slim due to the ability to use 1.5 firmware with custom firmware for older homebrew and emulation.
