While going through the Internet I came across this article;

http://www.amigafuture.de/indexe.html

A Belgian team is working on a FPS game called Zombies which next to the PC will also be released on the Amiga.

It doesn't look spectacular but if it is any good I might pick it up as I wanted a good zombie shooter for a while now.

It's always great to see new games in development for the Amiga these days, regardless of their quality. A FPS on the Amiga is bound to be running on slightly dated coding technology to allow enough speed on the Amiga, but it could still be good.

There are a few new Zombie games coming out on the current systems soon too, including a couple of Wii titles that will allow you to physically beat the crap out of the undead. Should be cool, but I can't see Nintendo being happy about their unique control system being used in such a way. :lol:

There's also Dead Rising for the 360 which seems to be funny.

I read something the other day about final game releases not living up to their preview demos and Dead Rising was one of them. In the demo you get to have free reign in a shopping mall, a la Dawn of the dead, which was great fun. But the final game didn't deliver the same degree of intensity of gameplay as the demo had promised.

All I know about is Touch the Dead for the Nintendo DS, and the Resident Evil games for the Wii and the Playstation.

I am rather disappointed in the Wii version which is basically a rail shooter rehash of the first four games.

The Wii game you speak of, RE: The Umbrella Chronicles, is based heavily on Survivor, which itself was a lightgun game. That is why it is basically an on rails shooter. Although from what I have read it isn't quite as linear with the ability to open locked doors by blasting them off their hinges allowing you to take branching routes, or the fact it also contains some mild RPG elements similar to previous RE games. It could be quite good, all be it quite linear in nature.

The other Wii RE game is a port of RE4, but like the PS2 version this contains additional side missions playing as secret agent Ada Wong.
