I would like to welcome you to the new classicamiga.com forums.
This new forum is version 2 of the classicamiga forums. Our original forum had been running for nearly 5 years, hosted for free by the company Invisionfree. Sadly in November 2006 the server hosting the classicamiga forums suffered a fatal harddrive failure which wiped out all boards being hosted on that Invisonfree server. Their backup was very out of date and dated from March 2006. This meant that when the forum was restored we were missing all changes to the board, and all topics and posts dating back 8 months. This lose was a big blow and wiped out all current topics of discussions.
We had been considering creating a replacement forum managed and hosted by ourselves for some time to enable us to do much more with it than the limitations Invisionfree has imposed in the past. This lose of data was the perfect opportunity to start again, creating a better forum for the classicamiga community to use.

In joining this forum we also ask that you take a few minutes to also register the same username on the main site http://www.classicamiga.com as the forums are only a small part of the complete classicamiga network. In registering on the main site too you will be able to access a lot of Amiga information, as well as enjoy online arcade games and even contribute content to the site, or comment on existing content our members have written.
