Those 2 games have just been released for the PSP. Don't have any further info, currently d/l them both, without even owning a PSP (that does mean something!!).

Are you talking about the new PSX Emulator?

Here's a quick lowdown:

Sony released Hotshots golf 2 PSX via their ps3 for PSP. Dark Alex and a few others hacked the emulator out of the game, and created a program to put your own PS1 ISOs into the emulator. Its really awesome, i have Crash 2 and 3 on my PSP at full speed.

And the PS1 ISO's run at full speed with the emulator? If so that is really cool. I'll have to get hold of it asap.

Definitely sounds like it should be added to my shopping list too.

That's it, runs in fw v3.02

Any way to trick the ripped emulator to run in fw v2.71? or does to require v3.02 to run? Bit annoying if it does as I cannot currently due to running a chipped psp.

Don't know. Have to check that, as you know, I still don't have a PSP, otherwise I'll be more up to date.

You need fw 3.02oe-b to run the PSX games, 3.02oe-a doesn't play them. Then you convert the PSX (original) iso with the popstation tool, you'll get 2 files and copy them to your memstick to /psp/game/gamefoldername.

That's annoying then. I will have to wait until either Epsilon update their bios to work with 3.02 or another method such as a devhook can be used.

They now also have versions of FF Anthology, Parasite Eve, Chrono Cross, Castlevania Chronicles and many more.

:( Well technically any PSOne game will work once converted over using the special utility and the hacked version of the PSX emulator. It would be amazing to be able to run all of these great titles on the PSP. I would replay the lot again if I can get this to work on my PSP.

If Epsilon don't release a FW update for the Epsilon BIOS anytime soon I may just have to get a second PSP just so I can run the PSX games on it. Also I may need to get another anyway once I get a PS3 if they actually do utlise the connection between the PS3 and PSP for some useful stuff.

You may ask why I don't just remove the Epsilon BIOS and flash the main system to fw3 and the UP BIOS to f1.5, but I would prefer to leave the Epsilon bios working as intended for all of the emulation, homebrew and ISO auto booting abilities.

I've just been reading about a hacked 3.02 firmware for the UP chip and that it contains all of the functionality of the Epsilon bios. I will definitely be looking into this in more detail. :)
