View Full Version : Legality of bundled isos and roms?

As most of you are no doubt aware Nintendo has actively been targeting rom sites and closing them down. A sad day for our hobby.

I however was considering something, but was unsure of the legality of it. For certain media types, such as music, it is legal (in the UK at least) to make a personal copy of an original. I've got multiple copied of many Amiga games and want to sell them to clear some space. However as we all know the physical media is getting very old now (20+ years) and the reliability of the original disks is becoming questionable. Therefore where legally would it be to sell an original game and include disk images for the disks in case the originals fail, or if the originals don't actually work? Anyone know?
