What recent or soon to be released games are you most looking forward to playing in the next year?

I'm finally going to have time to try out the RPG Shiness. It has been out for a bit but haven't had the time.

And most looking forward (ironically) to the remake of Final Fantasy XII.

There's also Gran Turismo and Dirt 4.

Not a huge amount of games in development I really want though. There were a few announcements at E3 I was interested in but I forget the names so couldn't have been so great. Lol.

Did you read my Shiness review?

The new Mordor game looks very promising.

And The Crew 2, I signed up for the beta release.

The new Spiderman game looks also exactly what I expect from such a game.

DLC for Horizon: Zero Dawn is always welcome.

Yes the Spiderman game does look good. Looking forward to that much more then the film.

Really enjoyed the first Mordor game so looking forward to that too.

Mordor is a great hack and slash game. Some great cut scenes and voice acting too. Quite atmospheric and also very fast paced making it really feel you're at the centre of a large battle.

I'm also interested in the upcoming Nintendo releases. Not that interested in the hardware, just the games as they are still one of the best first party game developers in the planet for gameplay.

Pyre anyone? I was looking forward to this one, but didn't pay it too much attention. So it came out today, looks very interesting, IGN review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba1BWuiOVEs

I also hadn't paid it much attention during development, but thought it looked interesting in a recent review I read.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar looks definitely great, probably gonna try that one out. Check out the IGN review (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68HTLnKqjkY). Got an 8.0. Also coming for PC.

Total War Warhammer II. Can't wait to find some time to play this. The improvements since the first look good and I love thy fact the 2 games link to form a single larger game world if you own both.

I suppose I was sort of looking forward to the Lord of the Rings: Shadow of War game. Previews were reallly nice, and I always loved the Tolkien universe.

However, as soon as I heard that Warner Brothers had monetized the heck out of the game (loot boxes, microtransactions, season passes), I instantly lost all interest.

I mean, I get it. AAA games are becoming prohibitively expensive to develop. Some cost millions to make and many don't turn a profit. But this is getting ridiculous.

Other than that, I suppose the only thing I'm looking foward to now is the new Naughty Dog game - The Last Of Us II.

Oh, I forgot Red Dead Redemption II. Thought that might still be a ways off.
