View Full Version : SSDs for older laptops?

I've just been given a couple of old (modern by my standards ) laptops, one is a Pentium 4 and one is a Pentium M. Unfortunately I'm a bit short of laptop HDDs, so I was pondering putting an SSD in at least one of them.

Can anyone recommend any inexpensive PATA SSDs? Or a SATA SSD with a PATA converter?

Thanks
Stephen.

Samsung. I've been using them for a long time and very reliable. Will speed up any system.

An SSD is the best upgrade to make an old machine eel nice and responsive.

The converters and adaptors though :huh2:
