I have to say I loved the first volume of Atari's Greatest hits but this volume takes retro even further as it includes BASIC for the Atari 2600 as well as the usual mix of Arcade games and 2600 games (some of which were never released and also has 1 homebrew game as well). This is total retroheaven although Combat is probably best played on a DSi XL as the missile sprite is a little too small to be seen on a normal DS/DSi.

I also always love giving these official retro compilations a go on various consoles. The Atari and Namco ones always tend to have the best selections of games. Will have to try this one soon.

BASIC? So you can code your own programs on the NDS?

No. There are two forms of basic Atari 400 Basic and Basic for the Atari 2600. So you can actually programme in something for the 2600 or 400 but as I haven't played with it that much there is no way to save so it is nothing more than a toy. Also because the 2600 never had a keyboard the touch screen is emulating a 12 button keypad that was built for this package so it's totally frustrating and almost unusable.
