My very first encounter of the third kind with electronic games.
Had a few of those Russian ones, I remember the "help them aliens jump to their ship (http://www.pica-pic.com/#/space_bridge/)" one, and of course "Nu pogodi (http://www.pica-pic.com/#/space_bridge/)" commonly known as "jajeczka" (eggs), based on the greatest Russian cartoon from that time...
There was also a 2-color Lotus-like (engine-wise) "Formula 1" racing game I used to love, but it's not in there... :(

Were those Russian ones copies of the Nintendo game and watch handhelds?

I've seen a Game and Watch emulator for browsers. And actually there are now quite a few emulators for browser gaming available. I'm going to explore setting some up for us here soon.

Yup, in most cases these were unlicensed (AKA "pirated") Nintendo clones ;)

I have a complete set of all Game & Watch consoles. It's not very big in size, can't remember where I got it from though.

Do you perhaps have the one I'm looking for?
It was a Lotus-like racer in 2 color mode, the road was "driving at us", we had three lanes we could move to and avoid other cars and with time it got faster and faster.
Think it had Formula 1 type vehicles.

IS that one from Nintendo?

I highly doubt that, but could be, don't remember. :(
If it was a Russian clone it might be based on one from Nintendo. No idea, I'm shooting in the dark now...

My set is ONLY Game & Watch, which are all Nintendo.

Okay, okay, I understand, I'm only asking if you know a game looking like that.

your description reminds me of: Circuit Champion by Bandi or 3D Grand Prix by Entex (also known as Auto Race). I don't remember Nintendo ever releasing a Game and Watch racing game.

Thanks for those suggestions Harrison but it was neither of those.
Definitely not as fancy as 3D Grand Prix with that steering wheel, and kinda similar too Bandai Circuit, but the handhelds shape was horizontal not vertical, and the camera angle on the view was much more "closer to earth", flat on the ground, we could only see a few meters ahead.
This site might help me though: http://www.handheldmuseum.com/

Do they have the TomyTronic 3D series (like 'Thundering Turbos') ?

I could sit really close to the monitor and put a towel over me head and over the top of the monitor to make it just like the real thing :-p
