Hi

the Fast ATA 1200
http://eu-shop.elbox.com/cgibin/shop?info=420F12

i read somewere that it has a cable that connects to pin 39 of IDE (????)
i can see the cable in photos but i didnt find info at elbox site, any one of you knows here this cable plugs?

i found that:

The FastATA 1200 MK-III controller has been designed to fit inside the Amiga 1200 in its standard case or in any Tower-type casing.

The FastATA 1200 MK-III controller has to be installed on the Amiga 1200 motherboard. The two boards that constitute the controller are inserted in the ROM sockets and on top of the GAYLE chip.

there is also a manual of how to install in:
http://www.elbox.com/products/fast_ata_1200_mk3.html

but i don't see any info about the cable ... :huh2:

Because the FastATA doesn't connect to the mother boards IDE in any way it means that the Hard Drive LED on the 1200 doesn't work. However if you look at the picture of the Fast ATA you see a black wire coming off the board. This plugs onto PIN39 of the 1200 mobo and the Hard Drive LED works again. It's nothing you have to buy separate and it's not particularly important either.
