the clock ports is a 22 pin port in mboard (A1200) right?
But the port has more then 22 pins... the other connecters are not present... something about internal use?

What can we do with this port?
we can:
- put a small card for use as a reset for A1200 towers and to fix the reset problem with pcmcia(?) (gayle chip adapter as example)
- connect a USB adapter
- what else?

The clock port has had many things adapted to it. Sound Cards, Faster serial and Parallel Ports in fact almost every sort of expansion except a real time clock and a graphics card.

Sound cards ?????? on the clock port?
what kind of sound cards? i thought you could only put a sound card thru an expantion board like elbox.
in a clock port??? well, does it replace the internal sound card? Is it better?

There was the Prelude 1200 and the Delfina are 2 that I owned. They improve the sound as they use 16 Bit DSP's and the sound is mostly retargetted through AHI. They'll not improve the sound on non AHI software but they still can be very good. They can also give you a slight speed increase as they free up system resources. I personally recommend you get the Prelude if you can find one as the Delfina can be very difficult to get running IMO and the Prelude is pretty much plug in and install the software. If you look in the the Boig Amiga Book Of Hardware here (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/) and browse by connection and choose the clock port you can look at almost everything available for the clockport.

My old board, had problems with the video signal,so i changed it, it was a Rev 1D1 (right) and i change for a 1D4 (left)
notice that on Rev 1D1 the clock port (near chanel Z) has all the pins, and the 1D4 only have 22 pins. All cables/adapters that i saw are 22 pins, so in old boards if you want to use the clock port you should remove the other pins (?):huh:
