Well, like the topic says:

Does SFS (SmartFileSystem) work with KS 2.04?

I know it works with 3.1, but I'd like to use it on my A3000 which has 2.04 ROMs

As far as i can tell it only works with OS3 and OS4.

Yes, SFS will work with WB2.04. However from my recent A600 project I discovered that it needs at least a 68020 to work. I formatted an HD using SFS and installed Workbench 2.1 onto it. It booted fine in WinUAE if I set the CPU to an 020 or above, but it generated a NDOS error if I set it to a 68000. I still tried the HD in a real A600 but it caused the same error.

So yes, you can use SFS with Workbench 2.04, but you need at least an 020 CPU.

Well, I have an A3000, which has a 68030 in it, so that's problem solved (as far as I can see)

Yes. It should work fine with an A3000.
