Wiki copyright license?

Initially I've set the Wiki up with a creative commons license. Do you all agree that this is the best license to use with the Wiki? Or do you have other license ideas we could utilise?

Should the content be open for others to use? Or should it be closed to external use unless permission is firstly granted by classicamiga?

I think it should be open as that way no other Amiga site (mentioning no names) could take the moral high ground and accuse us of stealing other sites information and then restricting other our own.

Creative Commons Attribution would be my choice. Yes other sites can copy whole articles, but at the end of the day they'd have to link back to Classicamiga.com and potentially introduce the site to a new audience. I don't personally see the point in having the non-commercial restriction - there is very little commercial potential for the content (the market for books etc. is basically non-existent). Okay, it prevents retro magazines from using the article, but we'd miss out on a link back to the site from such a publication and the extra visitors it would bring.

GFDL (as used by Wikipedia) has the (IMO) huge restriction of requiring a 3000-word notice to be attached to any copied work.

When setting the Wiki up I opted for the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0 Unported license. Yes this does include the non-commercial restriction, but I thought this was important to protect our members work from being directly ripped off by a commercial pulication if this ever did happen.
