For years I've been buying games for either my GBA, DS or Gamecube and adding the stars onto my Club Nintendo account but a few months ago Nintendo decided that all star points from over 3 years would be wiped off my account so I decided to spend them before I lost them. As a result I got a Club Nintendo Mug which I promptly put on eBay. At the time of writing it's going for £8.00 with just over a day to go. Watch it's progress here. Good luck with the sale.

That is annoying and a bit unfair about the Nintendo stars. I registered all of my Gamecube games online when I bought them and collected quite a few stars. So that means they are now gone?

If they're registered them over 3 tears ago then I'm afraid so. I'd go to Nintendo of Europe's site and double check. If you have some stars left the buy some tat from the stars shop and flog it. It may only get a few quid but you've just gotten married so the wife needs all the money you can get.;)

 I will have a look. Not sure I remember my login though, but will have a guess.

Your login is usually your email address so if you can remember that it's then hoping you can remember the password or if you still have the email address getting them to send you a new one.

That is a nightmare problem when you register with a site using an email that you no longer have. This happened to me a few years ago after I left demon as my ISP. Before that I had registered with most sites using my Demon email account, and then suddenly when I couldn't remember a login I was stuck as the sites kept saying they had sent the email to the old Demon account. Nightmare! I think there are still a couple of places I never managed to log back into thanks to that.

How disappointing. It only went for £8.00 in the end. Still £8.00 for something that cost me nothing ain't bad. If i add that to the Pirates of the Caribbean figure i got from the Nintendo Stars Catalogue last year that went for £6.00 Just before last Christmas it's not too bad. If only i could find some other sites where I can get free tat and flog it I'd be mildly better off than I am now.

I never even scratched off the silver covering of the nintendo points thingies that came in my GC and Wii games.

Wonder if they are still functionable? Can I be bothered to try?
Both are unlikely.

So you go to all that effort and all you got was a stinking mug.

I was clearing the attic again recently and found some old newspaper articles my gran had saved for me, in the way that old people think that will be interesting.

Almost mint condition, I put a Discworld article on eBay which had an interview with Pratchett, an interview with cover artist Josh Kirby, and lots of full-page colour art drawn by Kirby especially for the article which have never appeared elsewhere ever. What did it go for? 7p. It actually cost me more in eBay/PayPal fees than I made selling it. AND THAT IS WHY I HATE EBAY.

I forget what this thread is about.
