Just found this (http://aminet.net/game/data/CFNC.lha) on Aminet. 72 new maps for Cannon Fodder. Not played it yet but what the hey it breaths life into an old classic.

Downloaded that about half an hour ago.
Great game, haven't played it for a while though.

Been playing EOB AGA of late.

To play the maps you also need a Cannon Fodder WHDLoad install and XFDMaster (http://aminet.net/package/util/pack/xfdmaster), gpatch (http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/gpatch), and the Commodore-Installer (http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/Installer-43_3).

Be warned the levels are very hard (At least for me they are).

They are terrifyingly difficult. Can anyone here do Mission 2 Phase 1? It's got me stumped...

I can't even get past the first one.

Harrison will be kicking himself over it as i'm sure he likes Cannon Fodder. He'd probably have the new campaigns with him on his honeymoon if he knew.

MRS H: Come to bed dear, it's time to cement the relationship.
Harrison: Not now dear i just want to get to the next mission!!!

Next Day......

Maid screams as she discovers the dismembered body of Harrison..

Mrs H: I'll give him next bloody mission!!!!

Still makes you wonder that if you can create new missions and graphics for it whether it would be possible for an AGA version.

I'm not sure - they used a level editor that's been about for years to create it, I guess to make an AGA version someone would need to hack the actual game code...

I've found what you could call a cheat. Play normal Cannon Fodder and create seperate saves after the end of each mission, transfer them to the new maps game and load them as normal and if you get stuck on any particular level you can just load a save to get you to the next one.

Great idea, thanks! Will probably be the only way us mere mortals will get to see most of the maps...

I think the difficulty level varies as you go on. Mission 5 (Which i managed to get to by the aforementioned cheat) seems to be easier than mission 1. The only problem woith my cheat is that you have to be good at the original CF which i'm not (I know, I know I'm a big fat loser. I've lived with this shame for over 15 years so I'm used to it by now.).

A slight update is now on Aminet. If you do want to use my method for advancing you'll have to play CF all the way through saveing the levels then do the CFNM update as you can't just copy the save files over for some reason.

I will definitely have to give these a play. I did love the CF games, but not quite to the extent of taking them on my honeymoon!

I was pretty good at the original games and got through most levels first time, so I'm hoping I might be able to progress though some of these without resorting to cheating. But it does sound like they could be hard. Either that or you lot are just crap! ;)

I freely admit i'm crap at CF but they are hard at the same time.;)

I've somehow managed to stumble my way to Mission 4 Phase 3 and it's incredibly evil...
