Have you ever think about a Classicamiga meeting?
I think that would be very cool !!

Why don't we start thinking on getting us together?


Most of the members are from UK, so for them it would be easy, but for the rest of us is not so easy, but i would like to go again to Uk :) Is not so expensive. Ok, sorry for that poor guy from Australia...:( (...submeg...)

If you whant you could all come to Portugal, we can meet in Algarve (south of Portugal) from UK air tickets are very cheap...

I wouldn't be able to this year at least, due to my wedding this summer. However in the future it could be a great idea.

Only problem is that some key staff members are spread out all over the place. DC in Luxembourg, PG and Teho in Norway, Submeg in Aus etc... It is however true that many are in the UK, although if you look at the members location map we are all spread out quite widely across the country!

Could be quite hard to arrange something that everyone could make.

Ha, I would be down, but I would need to know almost years in advance! Lol. "Spread all over the country" Mate, it's the size of Victoria. That is nothing. If you were here and you said the top right corner of the state, it would take you a day to get to me...sheez! No idea lol :p

Anywhere more than 3 hours travel away for us constitutes a holiday. Make it somewhere with a beach.

A CA meeting would be fun, but it will be hard to find a location and a date that fits for everyone. This due to work, family and so on. It would also be expensive, as some has quite a distance to travel (Submeg). Still, if we plan ahead, we might be able to work something out. :)

It's been pointed out that the majority of members resides in the UK, so I guess England would be the best alternative. Flying to London is quite cheap if one goes with Ryan Air or other low-cost companies. We have a lot of options for that here in Norway, and I think the situation is the same in other European countries as well. So for a location, I would think that somewhere in the South East would be nice.

I could probably get to anywhere in the country and do have quite a big of free time, especially now it is the summer.

Whereabout we could meet I don't know. As burns said, maybe somewhere with a beach so we can have a holiday :)

Well as PG said, getting to England or somewhere in Europe from here isn't prohibitively expensive, allthough not exactly free either. But it's time that's the real problem, it would have to be planned some time in advance so we could prepare for the trip, get time off work and such. But I'm all for it. :)

Getting to London from here is very cheap, and it's for maximum 1 hour of flight. As 2nd location I would also chose Portugal, as I was there 2 times and it's a very beautiful place, and foods better than in the UK ;)

Yea, traffic, rude ppl....smog. No thanks. Should all come here, it's pretty peaceful, laidback...much less hectic than over there

Smog? We haven't had any smog's in London since the 1950s! :lol:

Traffic? We now have a congestion charge for inner London so the amount of traffic has been cut dramatically. The traffic isn't that bad now for such a large city.

As for rude people... well OK you have got me there. Not so much rude as won't talk to you much. They will generally hold doors open for you though.

There isn't really any need to drive a car around London city as the public transport is really good with the underground, buses and taxis, so it's not really a problem.

Ahh, that's good to hear :) Wish public transport was a bit better here. It's ok, but if more people caught the bus etc, it would mean a need for more services and in effect, you wouldn't have to wait as long for a bus. Then, the roads would be less congested, the waiting time would be less and you wouldn't have to park anywhere.
