I'm pleased to announce that I've finished coding the new Classicamiga Software Directory, and it is now live and ready to use on the site.

Visit the Classicamiga Software Directory (http://www.classicamiga.com/component/option,com_jreviews/Itemid,172/) now.

All we need now is for the classicamiga staff to get to work adding some content. ;)

I hope you all like and enjoy using the new Software Directory.

Now to get to work on completing the next part of the site.

Have had a look at adding something on the software pages.
Don't seem to have the appropriate access, or maybe it's just this browser.

Will try on something a bit more upto date later.

Great news mate! Have started adding a few prods already. :) FileMaster 2.0 is now up and running, along with a couple of modplayers and a random image generator.

I will double check the access rights for membership groups in the new section if you still can't add anything to the software section. PM me if you can't.

Wanted to check if things like LSD Docs Disks are intended to go in the software directory, I'd assume so from the existance of the Documents category but just wanted to check.

Yes. I thought we should include the LSD and similar doc disks in the software section. :)

Cool! I wish I could help, but alas I didn't know much about that stuff...I was just a gamer...

The problem appears to be with IBrowse.
There was a problem with FireFox in work which muddied the waters a bit, but that was related to the works computer only.
I have now resolved enough of those issues to see that my permissions are fine.
Although there are still some outstanding issues in general :(

OWB for the Amiga has had several updates since I last posted and now seems to work fine with this site.
Also a fair bit faster and is approaching useable.

I will try to see if I can add a review tonight using this.
If that fails, I will be kicking the missus off her peecee.

Will defo get some stuff added before the end of the week one way or the other.

Sounds good.

What issues are you still having? Would be interested to know, so I can see if there are any alternatives to how things are working.

Not seeing the entire page in the forums.
The sides appears to be chopped off, so I can't see the smilies for instance.
Wasn't a problem in the past.
Will check IE here and tonight will check FireFox on the her peecee.

Very strange as nothing has been changed in the forum templates. The only changes are related to version updates of the forum software as and when new versions/updates get released.

The smilies are showing ok on IE.

Will defo check this tonight on the g/f peecee.

Still haven't had the opportunity to have a look at the missus peecee.
Been busy helping with testing several pieces of software for the miggy.

On the works peecee using FireFox, I can see the smilies if I change the resolution to 1024x768 , although a part of the page is still cut off.

On the browser front, I have had a setback.
1.09 of OWB was working well, all be it a bit slow.
Versions 1.10, 1.11 and 1.12 all have a bug for a lot of people, me included.
This basically freezes the OS halfway through a page load after clicking on a link.

Also, the two 128meg simms I have ordered appear to have gone missing so I'm still using 128 which isn't enough with the current incarnation of the browser.

So it looks like I am going to be using the missus peecee for updating the software directory.

I think it may be possible to run Amikit from a USB pen.
So I am thinking of doing that and installing relevant software and guides in order to write stuff during quiet moments in work.(Quite a lot of them at the moment).
