Half Live 2 - Orange box. ep2-ok | ep1-not-ok

I finnish Half live 2 last year and i loved the game.
Now i found the orange box here in PT for 50 euros, and i bought it.

I can play HL2 episode 2 with no problems, but HL2 episode 1 gives me memory errors.... very strange... 4 in 5 executions it gives me an error. But episode 2 runs without any problem....

It seams that the only way that i can play EP1 is to call EP2 then exit then call EP1, but only 1 in 5 it will run... i have to reboot in between... :mad:
any ideia what's happening?


About EP2, the game is great, the 3d is really good, but main characters are the same, the scenery looks very similar from HL2. But anyway, i like it a lot!

Anyone did finnish EP1 and EP2?

It could be a Steam issue rather than the game itself. If Steam can't connect to verify the gamecode it won't start the game and will throw up an error. I own the Orange Box too *Xmas pressy from GF) but had already finished EP1 (pirate copy) which ran fine.

I will run the Orange Box version of EP1 later tonight and see if it loads OK for me.

I did but I can't help you with your problem, I have some of my own with the games.
