Another thread to make DC shake his head! ;)

So anyway, does anyone else like Folk music and derivatives of it? Especially Celtic Punk and anything within the Celtic Fusion genre.

I've always liked traditional Irish and Scottish Folk music, but more the more recent offshoots from it such as The Pogues and The Mahones. And some English Folk Rock groups such as The Levellers and New Model Army.

Has anyone heard any of the new singer Amy MacDonald's music from her This is Life album? I especially like the title track "This is the Life". They keep playing it on the radio and I think it's great. And she has a great voice for someone of only 19.

I don't think I have heard This is the Life (I might have at some point but don't remember). I have heard Mr Rock & Roll though.

Do you have the album?

Yes I do. It's very good. If you are interested in a copy let me know.

Actually the first CD I bought was Red Roses For Me by The Pogues. I also listened to New Model Army before, and also like the Dropkick Murphys.
