I love Pink FLoyd, am i old fashion?

I really love Pink Floyd Albuns, and i think Floyd is one of the best bands ever.

The following albuns are just superb:

- Dark Side Of The Moon
- Meddle
- The Wall
- Wish You Were Here
- Animals
- Obscured by Clouds

- The album Meddle is from 1971, and i didn't listen to him carefully till some months ago.... it's so good.

I don't know if i am getting old but... Pink floyd seems to me the most "for ever" band in the world, the songs are very beautiful and lyrics are the best i ever read.

songs like:
"Echoes" or "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" are so good...

Does anyone like Floyd ?
Anyone tryed to listen to the "Meddle" album?

My favorite album has to be Obscured by Clouds, but I must say that I don't know all of their albums.

I Love 70's Floyd - Dark side and wish you were here but I also love early jazz and blues and basically a lot of stuff pre 2000.

Yes, Obscured by Clouds is great, but Meddle i think is even better. Try it Demon!

Yep, I really like Floyd too.

The first album I ever heard was "Dark Side of the Moon", the year I was born as it was released that very year of 1973. :) Great album.

My favourite album is The Wall and has been since it first came out. I own the LP and CD versions of it, but still prefer to play the vinyl LP version. I've always loved the way it tells a complete story, rather than just being a collection of songs like most albums. And it sometimes annoys me when most people only know the album due to the song "another brick in the wall" getting into the charts at the end of the 70's.

I also remember years ago, when I was a student, trying to track down a copy of Ummagumma, and eventually finding one in a second-hand store in Southampton. :)

Ummagumma....

OMG, that is a difficult album.... very difficult to listen the full album.

Yes Harrison, The Wall is excellent. Did you saw the Movie? So good ...!

But last albums are not so good, after the final cut, they are not so good.
The first era with Syd Barret is also very good.

The live albums are particulary excellent.
Comfortably Numb on the Delicate Sound ofThunder is my all time fave track.

The only problem with Meddle is on one of the tracks, is you'ill never walk alone.
Found out the hard way when I heard it blasting out of my midi.

Was not happy.

I listen to some Pink Floyd too, but I don't have every album.

Don't see how you would be 'old fashioned' when you listen to older music. In fact, I think music from the 70's-80's is far superior to the crap we hear nowadays.

I'd prefer "Musically Challanged" to crap.

I think the "musically challenged" are the teenagers today. Most of them refuse to listen to anything that is not in the current "charts" and even delete or throw away any music that is "out of date", meaning two years old! And ask any of them about a group from 30+ years ago and they will give you a blank expression. Very sad. We all explore music from all generations, and I don't quite get what has gone wrong with the current teenage generation. Although being over pampered, spoilt and living in a culture where materialistic things are the only thing of importance has to be a big factor.

I remember first hearing Deep Purple's Machine Head album and being blown away. My dad had told some of the lorry drivers that came into his work that I was into Heavy Metal, so one of them had given him the Deep Purple tape for me. That was really cool, and it is still my favourite album by them.
