I have finally finished creating the tutorial on restoring an Amiga 1200 back to its forma glory.

It guides you through all the steps needed, to strip it down, paint and rebuild.

It is image intensive so you will need a gfx card and a beefe miggy to view it. Or just use the PeeCee.

I hope you find it useful. I am just finishing off my PeeCee PSU to A500 PSU case conversion off.

This will be online soon.

See the guide here! (http://www.a1200.sksoftware.co.uk/index.html)

Top restoration job, Stu!

I've done plenty of Amiga tower projects / resurrections in my time but this must have taken a lot of patience. The finished product looks great! :notworthy:

Nicotine stained, weathered casings used to bug the hell out of me and clean examples are few and far between.

Nice work.

Stu,
what kind of spray is that "White Spray"?

Is it real white? brilliant? Matte? How close is to an original Amiga? in photos it looks very nice, but is it close to the original.
I want to do the same, but i am not comfortable with that white spray, i must give it a try on some plastics to test first.

That is a very nice guide. I am definitely going to try this on that very yellow A500 I have. But I will need a slightly cream paint to get the right colour. Any colour spray paint anyone recommends would be a good match?

BTW, Stu, would you mind me linking this tutorial to the main site FAQs section?

Thats fine H. It just so happens I have cleaned up that PowerXL drive using plasti-kote creme-de la -creme paint!

This would match the A500 Nice.

Ill take a picture for you.

Heres some pics of the XL drive and the miggy with my A1200.

For the labels and logos on the casing, are you just masking them out before spraying?

Yea! the Power Logo I printed off and lacquered over it when spraying the case.

For the A1200 just masked off the labels. ;)
