So what Amiga hardware items do you currently have on your wish list, that you would buy if you had the cash spare?

I have a number of items on my wish list, some are rare so hard to find whatever the price, while others are things I wouldn't normally spend money on over other things I wish to buy, unless I suddenly came into some money or changed jobs for one paying a lot.

Of the hard to find items, I would love to get hold of:

A4000T, and upgrade it with a PPC accelerator and any other expansions I can get hold of.
A4000 Cyberstorm 060 or PPC accelerator for my A4000.
A1200 Blizzard 060/PPC accelerator card - if I got hold of one of these I would instantly plan a tower conversion including a PCI expansion board and PCI graphics card.
CDTV. I always wanted a CDTV but they don't really have much actual practical uses these days so it would just be for collecting and not to use. I sometimes see them appear on ebay for around £50 and am always tempted, but then don't bother as I know I wouldn't really use it.
A3000. I owned one of these many years ago, but then sold it once I got hold of an A4000. I've regretted that ever since due to the better design that included the flicker fixer built in.
Amiga One - I wanted one of these when they were in production, but now you just don't see them come up second hand.Other items on my wish list:

CatWeasel controller. I've wanted one of these for quite some time and will get one very soon.
A1200 tower conversion - tower, PCI breakout board etc... I've wanted to do one of these conversions for a long time (ever since the original Power Computing and other tower conversion kits appeared years ago).
PPC accelerator and OS4. With the release of OS4 at the end of the month I think all Amiga fans will now have this on their wish list. :)
A1200 Dragon Coldfire expansion. If this ever gets released I may consider one of these in a tower conversion instead of going for the PPC/OS4 route.
Laptop CD-RW drive fitted inside the standard A1200 case with a buffered IDE interface.
PC in an Amiga project. I've mentioned this one before, and it's not specifically an Amiga project. Uses an Amiga A1200 case and keyboard and fitting a miniITX motherboard inside, interfacing the keyboard via a KeyRah controller and using a CatWeasel installed at 90 degrees on a PCI riser and connected to a floppy drive in the Amiga's original drive bay.

Big list harrison....
I dont want so many items....
i bought on ram expansion yesterday on ebay, so in future i will just want:

- IDE split x2 for 1 HD and 1 cd-rom
- cd-rom for A1200 (i supposed more then 50% of pc cd-roms will work...)
- install OS3.9 or AmigaSYS3 AGA

that's it for now

Pretty much any IDE CD-Rom drive will work with the A1200 and a buffered IDE interface.

What ram expansion did you buy? Just a ram expansion? or an Accelerator?

Mediator 1200SX. good graphics card sound card etc. Shark PPC+ G4 if they ever come out. A real updated set of ROMs rather than the patched 3.1 ROMs i have at the moment, if they ever get made that is. Oh and if I can live in dreamland for a bit, a standard for amiga hardware so that no matter what the manufacturer all software will be compatable.

i bought a
Power Computing Commodore Amiga A1200
Trapdoor Expansion Card with 4MB and FPU on ebay for 26£ for a friend of mine.

I will test it, and if i like it i will keep it for me.
I just want the minimum requirements to run OS3.9 or AmigaSYS.

If this card i'll have 2+4 i know it is the real minimum, but it will do.
But i will keep looking for one with 8MB, i will sell this one later.

I would keep that one and keep looking on ebay for a bargain Blizzard 68030 accelerator as that will give you much better performance for running OS3.9, and they are dropping in price. I've seen a couple go for under £50 in the last week, compared to over a £100 a few months ago. I think they are not quite a popular now OS4 is coming out as everyone is getting rid of them looking for PPC cards. So it's a great time to grab a 68030.

So what Amiga hardware items do you currently have on your wish list, that you would buy if you had the cash spare?

There are several items I would be interesting in purchasing if I had the extra cash. Here's my list, starting with the most wanted item on top.

1. AmigaOne
2. Tower, PPC, and Mediator, so that I'll be able to run OS4 on the A1200
3. Amiga 4000T
4. Amiga 4000D
5. Amiga 600HD with accelerator
6. Scandoubler

Interesting you mentioned an A600 accelerator. I was looking at information about them the other day online and thinking how cool it would be to get hold of the 68030 A600 accelerator. That would make a great Amiga. Really small, but with a 68030 running at 50MHz, and you could fit a large HD and lots of ram. About the only issue would be no AGA support.

hmmma good question...

sooo whats on Zetty's wish list... well...

USB
Defina Flipper
Blizzard 030 Mk4 With Scsi

see a small list....

I would exchange my Cycberstorm 060 Mk2 for the Mk3 so i could then get the CyberVision :D

but all in all.... what i am really looking for is the Perfect desktop chassis for a power A1200 mod :D

DO NOT get a Delfina. They are notoriously hard to get working. I had one and the best i ever got from it was buzzing. I ended up frying it trying to get it to work.

I would like PCI, so probably a Mediator.

I really must seriously plan an A1200 project this year once I have some spare cash. It's been at the back of my mind for years, ever since the first official tower case mods appeared all those years ago.

But, I'm not sure if I will go for a full tower conversion with all the bells and whistles such as PCI and graphics cards, or keep it more simple and compact by just planning a mod in the existing case. That would definitely be more portable and easier to keep out for permanent use.

If I do go for a standard A1200 mod I will be building a more retro system, not one aimed at fastest speed or able to run the latest software. I would look to build a system with:

DVD/CD-RW built in to rear, large internal HD (have spare 2.5" 40GB HD at mo), KS 3.1, 030 Accelerator, internal A1200 flicker fixer (if I can track one down at a good price). And I think that is about it. I want to keep it simple but functional for true retro classic Amiga gaming. For Workbench setup I would most likely use ClassicWB and the KG WHDLoad gamepacks. Hence the reason for the 40GB HD. Although I do also have spare 6GB and 10GB 2.5" HDs that might be used instead.
