So what brands of deodorant/eau de toilette/perfume do you like to use most?

Me, I've been using this toilet water from Dior since I was in high school. It's called Dune, and it's actually quite good. Not too flowery, not too strong or invasive. I like it. Plus, it shares its name with one of the greatest sci-fi books ever.

For warding off nasty armpit odours, I alternate between Roma Uomo (Biagotti) and Acqua di Gio (Armani). Both sprays. I absolutely hate deo sticks.

What I hate about most eau de toilettes is how farkin expensive they are. Anything from well-known brands are upwards of € 50-100 for a small bottle. They must be making bucketloads of money off this crap. At least a bottle lasts quite a long time, if used semi-normally. I actually had one go 'bad' on me once - only thing that was left was the alcohol smell.

I get eczema sometimes so have to be a but careful what I use. I use to use Linx deodorants as I liked some of the fragrances, but recently they made my skin red, so now I use Gillette Sensitive Skin Antiperspirant Deodorant spray. It has a clean smell that doesn't really have an actual fragrance, but it does work, and I don't get any reactions from it.

I do like Lynx Africa and have some Aftershave that I use sometimes.

And my GF just came back from France and bought me back some Hugo Boss Eau de Toilette which I quite like.

I use lynx dry, but like you H, I have eczema and they do make me sore a bit, may have to try the others.

I also have some Lynx AS, but my fav is Joop. I also like the Jean Paul Gautier AS as well.

It's short for ass. Or possibly aftershave.

I use Lynx deo too (Africa, now that they don't do Atlantis - but it is still available on the continent under the 'Axe' brand). I don't really like the dry/antiperspirant versions so much though.

As for aftershave - Tommy Hilfiger is the one I usuall go for, and I reall like the Joop ones (I think it was 'jump!' I had last time). Hugo is also a good one.

Has anyone here ever tried to use Veet or other hair removal cream on their face? If so, did it work?

As for Aftershave, main point of it is to close the pores on your face after shaving to prevent a rash, and also to prevent infection if you cut yourself while shaving. And it can really sting if slapped on straight after shaving! It's also so you smell nice.

eau de toilette, i use
XS paco rabane -> very nice, not fresh, not harm, great.
Eternety CK -> not too active, smooth, discrette, i like it a lot
Kuoros YSL -> a litle warm, more winter them summer, good for a calm night time.

deodorant, i use only nivea (dont smell nothing).
How do you say something it doesnt have smell?
Well i used because it doesnt have smell, it's better, if you have smell by a eau de toilette you should have the same smell in you deodorant or (no smell) to different smells is not nice. And also because nivea is not aggressive and it doesn't irritate my skin.

I use Dove deodorant because it doesent have a strong smell - I prefer to smell clean rather than having something too overpowering on. When I do wear aftershave I use Boss or Pie. I also like armani He.

I'm basically always hot and therefore need to go for the big guns in terms of deoderant.
Tend to use Sure 24hr Extreme.

Working in an office who judge necessary heat temperature by asking the two stone anorexic if she is ok, isn't actually the best method in my book.

As for aftershave, whatever gets bought for me.
Never bought any for myself in my life.

Wunderbaums are just one of those things that for some reason clicks with the kids fresh out of driving school, driving around in their first rustbuckets. A friend of mine bought an entire stand of those once. Had a thick column of them hanging from the mirror almost to the floor of the car. Got in the way every time he was trying to change gears.

Completely mad. But nobody on the street had more Wunderbaums than he. :no:

I've never seen any point, except that they obstruct your view. Maybe it's another form of compensation for personal inadequacies.

The answer is that those dice, the wunderbaums, the small plastic christmas trees with the blinking lights and so on are all part of the stupidity contest 'who can fit the most cheap junk in/on the car'. Most drivers are guilty of taking part in this during their first year driving, when just being able to drive defined you as cooler than the others. In your own view at least.

Have you also noticed how certain "accessories" are normally associated with specific makes of car? Those annoying and pointless air fresheners that clip onto the air vent and have a spinning fan in them that generates extra annoying cabin noise are commonly seen fitted as standard to all Ford Escorts and Focus'.

I HATE those things, they look really divvy and they hardly ever seem to work. No one would ever dare put shit like that in my car. As for fluffy dice, they can be cool in a sort of kitsch-ironic way.

I used to have some little Terrance & Phillip characters on a spring connected to a suction cup in the back window. They were very little and easy to miss but always got a positive reception. Plus they were right over the speakers in the boot and so they 'danced' to the heavy bass :coffee:
