We need to set up a group for Resistance: Fall of Man. It would be excellent to battle those blasted chimera! :)

I agree. We had a discussion about it in another thread, but I still got no invite or don't know what you need to join an existing clan in R:FOM.

It looks like v85rawdeal has set one up...we just need invites :)

I'm actually in the clan now. I played 2 rounds with Oz just now and got killed 8 times with 0 kills myself :( but I have to admit there were very high ranked guys in there, and I'm only private, have to practice a bit in single player mode. Thankfully we have you Submeg  but v85rawdeal and toomanymikes have some better stats than me already.

I suppose v85rawdeal created the clan, so that he has to send an invite to join. As I wanted to invite Oz to the clan, but couldn't (or did I do something wrong?). Btw, Oz PSID is CTRLALTDELETE.

As I do not get online as often as I would like, please be patient with regards to me as I am slow.

have sent out a few more invites, although it seems to be struggling with submeg, but hopefuly that is just me being a prat!

Would you all like me to setup the classicamiga clan forum again? That way we will have a central place to arrange games, or to request invites.

That would be much appreciated, Harrison

Ta very muchly, indeed

Now that would be cool. I havent really played much of resistance since I got Warhawk but the idea of forming a sizable CA clan would rock - it was just me and v85rawdeal for ages!

OK, I will setup a forum for it today.

All this PS3 and multiplayer talk is really tempting me to buy a PS3 earlier than I intended just so I don't miss out. Again I was very tempted. I was stood in the local Blockbuster renting a DVD and they had the 60GB PS3 sitting there looking at me. I very nearly did too...

But I think that a HD TV is essential, and as you don't have one yet, buy both together. Buying a PS3 without using the HMDI is like buying a sports car and only driving in the 1st gear.

Very true, and this is the reason I've been waiting, as in the new year I will be able to afford to buy both, plus a Sky HD box, all together. It is just so hard having to wait, and I think you can relate to that one!

and I think you can relate to that one!Completely ;) that's why I buy everything immediately.

OK. New clan forum is now setup inside the Fun and Games section of the forums. I've moved the PS3 and Wii code threads into there to get things started.

I will also start a R:FOM thread for players to ask for invites and post about the game.

It's getting harder to walk away without buying a PS3 at the min.
Will have to look a the situation after xmas.

It will be great to have you guys on board, and not just on R:FOM, it will be just dandy to see the classicamiga.com name crop up everywhere (Might create a character on Tiger Woods called classicamiga.com and upload shots regularly:lol:)

Question, for R:FOM, is it possible to have two people online on the same playstation?

v85rawdeal

Unfortunately, the answer is no.

However, I think that it may be something that the programmers are looking to include into R:FOM2, as it has proven to be somewhat of a hit on Halo 3.

I was a little disappointed about that, but as the person I know who's house I go to with the PS3 is getting a PS3 for christmas (although he doesnt know it yet ;)) I will probably still take mine around and set mine up in another room so that we can both play online at the same time (without his cheating and looking at my half of the screen when we do multiplayer offline, which he does).

Oh at least that is something to look forward to....my gf and I make a good team

Oh your not supposed to do that? :p

Warhawk does let two people play split-screen in online matches, but not on the ranked servers as people used it to cheat. But whoever sets up an unranked server there has the option to allow it.

I remember that well on the Amiga and ST. We used to tape a piece of cardboard to the monitor so you could only see your half of the screen.

Yeah, but with the size of the TVs nowadays, and the distance you need to sit from them so as not to get eyestrain.... thats a BIG bit of cardboard!!!

Harrison

Easy solution there. That big TV had to come in a big cardboard box. Keep the box and you have exactly the correct sized piece of cardboard! Sorted!
