Seeing as I have some time on my hands ive started a few projects. One of them being psu rebuild, and the other case restoration. :)

Had an old very yellowed A1200 which, I thought would make a good starting level.

Here are the pics. What you think of them? I was going to respray the A1500 as best as I could back to original colours.

Thats really impressive - it looks brand new. My keys are quite yellowed so I want to do this too - go and let us in on your secret!

Looks nice when cleaned, what did you use? If you have more A1200s, then I would spray one in black or yellow, a special one ;)

I found one of the oxygen cleaning products (think it was cif) worked quite well at reducing the yellowing.

I used 3 coats of primer, 3 coats of matt white paint and then 3 coats of lacquer.

What is a "primer"? i cant find a translation ...

is that any kind of paper to pass over the Amiga plastics?

Primer can be translated as "Fundações".

Have you got any 'before' pictures to give a sort of guide to how bad it was?

Looks good.

Tiago, Primer is also called Undercoat. You put this on as the first layer of paint before the actual paint you are using so it applies to the surface better and gives a much nicer end result.
