Sorry for the basic question, but i dont remember

Amiga disks = 880kb (DD disk) ok that's a fact.

Is there any problem formating old pc HD disks to DD ?
In long periods of time, is it the same, they have the same quality?
Here in Portugal it's almost impossible to get DD disks.... HD is easy...

You may find a super basic question, but i cant remember

It is possible to format HD disks as DD, but it can lead to problems as they are not suppoed to be formatted as DD. I have used this method before and have had problems sometimes.

Harrison mentioned a long while ago that TDK HD disks are better for formatting as DD than other brands. http://oldforum.classicamiga.com/index.php?showtopic=500

I managed to get a load of DD disks (brand new) from ebay, but they were all in the UK.

Good point Steve. Ebay is a great place to try and find DD floppy disks. Many people sell their old Amiga disk collections on ebay too, so you can often get a big collection of disks with software/games on them for not much money.

As I said in the original thread on the old board, try to stick with just using DD disks on the Amiga as HD disks are not reliable when formatted to double density. They may work to begin with, but then just stop working, so you wouldn't be able to guarantee their data.

These might be worth looking at: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/The-Commodore-Store_New-Media-Supplies_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ5QQftidZ2QQtZkm

Although postage might be quite a lot outside England. I got my disks from The Commodore Store last time. If they still have some avaliable in the next few weeks I might get some more, although I could do with some more HD disks at the moment.
