Just managed to track down the Complete Amiga History torrents...

Now that is a lot of downloading and a lot of files (Whew) I am so glad I have a 40gb hd on my Laptop and not likely to run out of room.

Oh...

Too late!!! :doh2:

What do these Torrents contain?

Apparently it is the most complete Amiga games collection the world has ever seen. This thing features more than 20000(!) Amiga game disks. Over 10 years of amiga games and scene glory straight onto your harddisk.

It's a bit of a big file (or ten)

So it's like the TOSEC, Aminet and Demo Scene combined?

I dont know yet what it all contains, but I will compile some sort of a list when I have downloaded it all eventually!

So far, I have downloaded 1.86 gb of materials, and that is only about 1 fifth of the total, if that.

There are 16 archives in total, each approximately 650 - 700 mb in size.

So far I have downloaded 4 archives.

Actually 20,000 isn't that much. My Games Tosec is over 17,000 disks at 8.52GB. Add to that the PD & Applications TOSEC's and Demos that are probably in the torrent and reaching 20,000 seems a dead cert.

If it were to contain all known classic Amiga files it would be near 400GB in size.

That's MORE than the total HD space I have at the moment :yikes:
